About Mini Fish

Mini Fish began as a simple idea: share Australia’s incredible marine life with my kids — and with families everywhere.

I’m Gavin, a lifelong diver, fisherman, and aquarium professional. I’ve spent my career designing, building, and operating public aquariums across Australia and around the world. My work has always focused on education, authenticity, and helping people understand the underwater environments that make Australia so special.

Mini Fish is an extension of that passion.
Each toy is modelled on real Australian species, capturing the shapes, colours, and character of the fish so many of us grew up catching, seeing, or admiring. They’re made for play, learning, storytelling, and sparking curiosity — whether your family fishes or simply loves our coastline.

What started as a small project for my two boys has grown into a brand with a bigger purpose:
to help kids discover, imagine, and play through Australia’s marine life.
