Returns and Refunds Policy

Last updated: 31 July 2026

This policy applies to purchases made directly from Mini Fish, operated by Fish Toys Australia Pty Ltd.

Change-of-mind returns

Please choose carefully, as we do not accept returns, exchanges or refunds where you:

  • Change your mind
  • Accidentally order the wrong product
  • Decide you no longer want the product
  • Find the product elsewhere at a different price

This does not affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

Damaged, faulty or incorrect products

We take care when checking and packing every Mini Fish order. However, please contact us if your product:

  • Arrives damaged
  • Has a manufacturing fault
  • Is unsafe
  • Is significantly different from its description
  • Is not the product you ordered

Please contact us through the contact form on our website as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the issue.

Include:

  • Your name and order number
  • A description of the problem
  • Clear photographs or a short video showing the damage or fault

We may ask for additional information so we can assess the issue.

Replacements

Where a product has a minor fault, our preferred solution is to replace the affected product or component with a new one at no additional cost.

Depending on the issue, we may not require the damaged or faulty product to be returned. Please do not send a product back before contacting us and receiving return instructions.

If a return is required and the product is confirmed to be faulty, damaged or incorrect, Mini Fish will cover the reasonable return postage costs.

Refunds

If a replacement is unavailable, unsuitable, or a refund is otherwise required under Australian Consumer Law, we will provide a refund to the original payment method.

For a major product failure, you may be entitled to choose between a replacement and a refund under Australian Consumer Law.

Once approved, refunds will be processed promptly. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to display the funds in your account.

When a remedy may not be available

We may not be required to provide a replacement or refund where the damage or problem was caused by:

  • Misuse or improper handling
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Failure to follow any supplied care or safety instructions
  • Accidental damage after delivery
  • Loss of the product or its parts
  • A modification made after purchase
  • A fault or characteristic that was clearly disclosed before purchase

We may request reasonable proof that the product was purchased from Mini Fish. This may include an order confirmation, receipt or other proof of purchase.

Purchases from another retailer

Products purchased from a Mini Fish stockist must generally be returned to the retailer they were purchased from. The retailer will handle the matter in accordance with its own procedures and Australian Consumer Law.

Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies that you may have under Australian Consumer Law.
